Yoga Nidra means sleep with a trace of awareness. It is the mind space in between wakefulness and dream. During practice you are opening a deeper phase of your mind, as you tune into relaxation, the subconscious and unconscious levels of your mind open. When we practice Yoga Nidra we transcend the behavior of the external mind. Through this practice not only do we relax, but we restructure our personality from within.   Muscular tensions, emotional tensions and mental tensions can gradually be released.
